ERA REAL ESTATE TEAMS UP WITH HOTJOBS.COM TO OFFER ONLINE RECRUITING PROGRAM
ERA franchised brokerages receive preferred rates on HotJobs.com services PARSIPPANY, NJ, January 30, 2002 - ERA Franchise Systems LLC has teamed up with HotJobs.com Ltd., a leading recruitment solutions company, to offer its brokerages reduced rates on job postings. One of the leading online recruiting sites on the Web, HotJobs.com now features a full-service program for ERA® brokers. The program enables ERA brokers to create job postings and search a database for qualified candidates to fill positions ranging from office managers to real estate sales professionals. One month since the launch, ERA affiliates say they are satisfied with the results. Broker Matthew Roach of ERA Top Guns Realty in Travelers Rest (SC) admits he was skeptical, but received an overwhelming response to his job posting. "I had never tried recruiting for sales associates electronically," he says. "I received a steady stream of resumes in response to my posting on HotJobs.com. I never had this type of response from a traditional newspaper advertisement." Roach subsequently hired two new associates as a result of his search on HotJobs.com. This type of response isn't unusual. Peter Kuhn, professor of economics at the University of California at Santa Barbara, says more and more people are turning to the Web in search of a new job or career change. "Today, Internet search rates exceed those of such traditional methods as the services of private employment agencies, contacting friends or relatives and using the registers of unions or professional organizations," explains Kuhn, who has been studying job search methods for the past two years. "Online recruitment continues to enjoy increased growth because it's a cost-effective, convenient way to look for a job without walking the pavement. People also have access to a greater depth of information and can research a company online before submitting a resume." For ERA brokers who want to take advantage of the growing popularity of e-recruiting, HotJobs.com offers a suite of programs. "Our brokers have the option of signing up for one-time job postings on HotJobs.com or for multiple postings, with access to the site's resumes," says Angela McNiece, director of Integrated Marketing, ERA Franchise Systems LLC.
