ERA REAL ESTATE EXPANDS ITS INTRANET SITE TO BETTER SERVE ITS AFFILIATES
New tools help sales associates and brokers save time and money PARSIPPANY, NJ, February 25, 2002 - Continuing its 30-year tradition of providing its affiliates with technology tools to help them build their business while saving time and money, ERA Real Estate recently expanded its award-winning Intranet site, TeamERA.com, to better serve its members. One of the newest features on TeamERA.com is the "ERA® Web Template," a pre-built customized web page for sales associates. This offers all ERA sales associates the opportunity to have a professionally designed Web site without incurring the costs of a designer. Features of the template include a personal profile, listings, contact and buyer/seller information. After the Web site is created, the sales associate can download it to a local host. "As most people know, the ERA system was founded on an innovative technology 30 years ago called the fax machine. We were the first national real estate brand to utilize new technologies to expand our business. The company was built on technology with 'ERA' standing for Electronic Realty Associates," says Brenda W. Casserly, president and COO, ERA Franchise Systems LLC. "TeamERA.com is the primary source for affiliates to locate information about ERA products, services and programs," added Casserly. "We are always developing new features to make TeamERA.com and our consumer site, ERA.com, more effective. And our efforts haven't gone without notice. In January, ERA Real Estate recorded its greatest number of page views to both sites." In an ongoing effort to help affiliates reach out to customers, ERA Real Estate developed "The ERA Move Planner." This e-mail utility was designed to help sales associates keep in touch with customers from the time the contract is signed until closing. After the sales associate enters their client information into the program, clients begin receiving timely tips about moving via e-mail. Tips range from psychological to organizational. For example, they may focus on helping a child cope with moving into a new home, or scheduling the move process from the first box to the last piece of furniture. Upon closing, customers also receive four seasonal e-mail messages during the first year of living in their new home. Through TeamERA.com, affiliates now also have access to an online library of ERA® print advertisements. "The Online Advertiser" is a Web-based application that allows ERA members to create, produce, plan and deliver customized advertising materials. "At any time of the day or night, ERA affiliates can select the ad they want, customize it and send it directly to their newspaper or magazine," says William Cogan, director of Interactive Marketing. "Not only does this help our membership save money, but it helps preserve valuable time that can be better utilized helping customers." Another new feature of TeamERA.com is a selection of fill-in letters for prospecting and follow-up. These pre-written letters can be copied and pasted from TeamERA.com into an e-mail or word processing program, and are ready to mail after filling in a few blanks.
