ERA REAL ESTATE HOSTS SILENT AUCTION TO BENEFIT THE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION
Annual meeting of top ERA sales associates will include charitable initiative PARSIPPANY, NJ, June 27, 2002 - Sales associates attending the ERA® Beyond Excellence Conference in Bermuda, July 28-31, will help raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association during a silent auction, which will feature a variety of travel and leisure products. "For nearly three decades, ERA brokers and sales associates have demonstrated tremendous generosity and compassion through their efforts to raise money for MDA," said Brenda W. Casserly, president & COO, ERA Franchise Systems LLC. "Our annual fund-raising goals are more ambitious this year as we strive to make a greater difference in the lives of those affected by neuromuscular diseases." The silent auction will feature more than $7,000 in donated gifts from the Select Services Division of ERA Real Estate and its sister brands of Cendant Corporation (ERA is a subsidiary of Cendant). Some of the items up for bid include a set of Callaway golf clubs and bag, two roundtrip airline tickets to anywhere in the continental U.S. and a one-week car rental. Proceeds from the silent auction will be part of the donation that the ERA network will present to MDA during the annual Labor Day Telethon. Representatives of the ERA system will appear on local and national broadcasts to tell audiences about their year-round support of MDA.
