ERA REAL ESTATE EXPANDS ITS RECRUITING PROGRAMS TO HELP AFFILIATES BUILD THEIR SALES TEAMS

PARSIPPANY, NJ, May 12, 2003 – In an ongoing effort to help its brokers increase market share, boost office productivity and grow their businesses organically, ERA Real Estate recently introduced several new products designed to assist ERA® affiliates' initiatives to recruit sales professionals.

"Recruiting the best people is the core driver in staying ahead of the competition and it is something brokers need to do consistently and well," said Brenda W. Casserly, president and COO, ERA Real Estate. "Through these specially designed programs, we hope to help ERA brokers expand their teams of sales professionals."

For both managers who are new to the recruiting process and experienced managers looking for new ideas, the ERA Online Recruiting System offers a step-by-step guide with a variety of resources. Managers can utilize call scripts, accountability forms, profile charts, sample letters, ERA broker "best practices" and many other useful tools.

To consistently reach out to potential recruits and highlight the benefits of the brand, ERA Real Estate expanded its direct mail program by adding a recruiting system. It features four jumbo postcards and four newsletters that are mailed every six weeks with messages from the recruiter. The postcards alternate with newsletters that focus on brand-specific technology products, awards and recognition programs, training opportunities and diversity initiatives.

In addition to the direct mail program, brokers can prospect potential recruits with the ERA Electronic Recruiter, an email utility. Through the brand's Intranet site, the broker enters the potential recruit's contact information into the program, and the system automatically sends customized email messages to them every three weeks. The ERA Electronic Recruiter now includes six message tracks, each with 10 messages, which are sent over the course of several months. The messages feature information about ERA products and services, such as training, technology and agent incentive programs. A newly created Spanish and niche marketing track debuted during the conference.

A business card-sized interactive CD, "Path To Success," is another new recruiting product. This tool provides prospective agents with information about the tools the ERA system provides to sales professionals to help them grow their businesses. Technology, awards and recognition programs, training and marketing are just a few of the topics highlighted in the presentation.

To encourage brokers to utilize the new products and services, ERA Real Estate is hosting the "Building Relationships" incentive contest now through Oct. 31. Winners will be determined in several company categories based on the highest number of sales associates entered into the ERA Electronic Recruiter and direct mail programs. Prizes, including Olympus digital cameras and Palm organizational devices, will also be awarded to brokers who recruit the greatest number of sales professionals.
