Unique initiative educates real estate professionals to market historic properties
The ERA Historic Real Estate Training Program is the result of an exclusive partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation™ to train and certify industry professionals on the special nature of buying, selling and owning historic properties. The program is open to professionals throughout the real estate industry, regardless of company affiliation.
The first program of its kind, the ERA Historic Real Estate Training Program will cover several preservation topics, including architectural style, conservation and maintaining historic properties. In addition to a greater understanding of historic real estate, professionals who complete the program will receive special certification in marketing historic properties.
"The historic properties market holds many unique opportunities and challenges," explained Peter Burgdorff, President and CEO of ERA Real Estate. "Thanks to our new partnership with the National Trust, ERA will be able to offer an indispensable resource to real estate professionals in this exciting niche market."
ERA brokers and sales associates who complete the training will also have the benefit of using the National Trust brand logo in their marketing efforts, and be invited to submit proposals to obtain listings for properties in the Trust's Gift of Heritage program.
