ERA® APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS Parsippany, NJ (March 22, 1999) – ERA Franchise Systems LLC announced today the promotion of Kevin Meyer to Director of Communications. Meyer will report to Ralph Pagan, Vice President of Marketing. Based in Parsippany, New Jersey, Meyer will oversee all communications for the global real estate brand, including communications to ERA franchise affiliates; public and media relations, event marketing and the brand's charitable sponsorships with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Inner City Games Foundation. He will also serve as communications counsel to senior management and as ERA liaison to various Cendant communication divisions. Since joining ERA and Cendant in 1997, Meyer has overseen ERA franchise communications programs such as TeamERA, the brand's award-winning quarterly magazine for ERA brokers and sales associates; ERAtv, the brand's nationwide weekly satellite broadcast; and various marketing and executive communications initiatives. Before joining ERA, Meyer served as a senior communications specialist with New Jersey Transit. "Kevin has demonstrated a significant ability to articulate the value and benefit of the ERA brand and deliver these messages for our franchise affiliates in high quality vehicles," Pagan said. "In his new role, we believe Kevin will maintain the highest standards for all ERA communications and be instrumental in helping ERA continue its growth as an industry leader." A graduate of Jersey City State College, Meyer is the former editor-in-chief of The Hudson Reporter, a weekly newspaper chain based in Hoboken. He is the recipient of several awards for excellence in public relations, communications and journalism from the Public Relations Society of America, the International Association of Business Communicators, the Society of Professional Journalists and North Jersey Press Club.
