PARSIPPANY, NJ (June 18, 1998) – ERA Franchise Systems LLC announced that it has closed an asset purchase transaction with ERA of Maine, a former service broker located in South Portland, ME. The acquisition will affect its franchise sales and service activities in that region.
As a result, consulting and training services for ERA member brokers located in the former ERA of Maine service broker territory will now be handled through the ERA Network divisional staff. Steve Hammond, former president of ERA of Maine, sold the service broker assets of the company to ERA earlier this month.
"Steve has done an outstanding job operating ERA of Maine," said Peter Burgdorff, ERA President and CEO. "The ERA Network Division will continue providing the same outstanding service our member brokers are accustomed to Maine."
