ERA Brokers and Agents Prepare To Bowl for the Muscular Dystrophy Association on Make A Difference Day
PARSIPPANY, NJ (October 24, 1997) – ERA® Real Estate brokers and agents nationwide will spend Saturday, October 25, the seventh annual Make A Difference Day, hosting bowl-a-thons for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. More than one million Americans across the country are expected to participate in Make A Difference Day, a national day of community service sponsored by the Points of Light Foundation and USA Weekend magazine.
At least 50 ERA offices have committed to hosting an MDA bowl-a-thon in their communities. Concurrently, ERA, the world's fourth largest residential real estate network, is celebrating its 20th anniversary as a top corporate sponsor of MDA. Since 1977, ERA member brokers and sales associates have raised almost $25 million for MDA.
USA Weekend, a weekend magazine published by Gannett Co. Inc., the third most widely read magazine in the county, has 41.7 million readers and is delivered in 496 newspapers across the nation. The Points of Light Foundation is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to engaging more people more effectively in volunteer community service.
