ERA'S® NEW SELLERS SECURITY PLAN ASSURES SALE OF HOME WITH NEW OFFER:
"WE WILL SELL YOUR HOUSE, OR ERA WILL BUY IT!"

Parsippany, NJ (July 30, 1998) – ERA Franchise Systems LLC has introduced the updated version of its Sellers Security® Plan (SSP), a unique program that assures consumers that their ERA broker will sell their home or ERA will purchase it. The new and improved version provides homeowners a guaranteed offer of 90% of the house’s appraised value, based on two independent appraisals, while allowing sellers to accept higher offers during the listing period. This represents a dramatic increase over the previous Plan, which determined offers on an individual basis and ranged, on average, from 75 – 85%.

The Sellers Security Plan is a tool that assists homeowners who need to purchase another home quickly, but cannot because their current home is not sold. An assured sale to ERA frees up equity and provides greater negotiating power for purchasing that new home.

ERA is the only national real estate brokerage franchise system that offers its customers a guaranteed sale on their home. Homeowners become eligible for the SSP when they execute three simple steps:

  1. List their home with an ERA broker for at least 180 days
  2. Purchase another house through a broker designated by ERA
  3. Follow the Five-Point Marketing Plan, which is designed to help maximize the marketability and sales potential of a home.

If a homeowner decides that the SSP is an appropriate option, they are guaranteed a sale and a closing date, once they accept the ERA offer. The homeowner is then advanced equity of up to $100,000 for the purchase of a new home. The ERA offer eliminates the uncertainty of a seller having to make an offer on a new house which is contingent on their current house being sold. This increases the homeowner's bargaining power in the negotiating process. If the seller closes with ERA and ERA sells the house for a profit, all profits, minus certain costs, are returned to the homeowner.
